The Physical Education Program at Dunsborough PS is comprehensive, dynamic and diverse. It provides all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with the opportunities to develop the skills and confidence to play and enjoy a range of games and sports.
The program includes an innovative approach to school wide Morning Fitness, the development of Fundamental Movement Skills in the early years through to a range of games skills and strategies with the older students. As well as including a number of the traditional events and sports such as Cross Country, Faction Carnivals, Swimming Lessons, Netball and Football, our students also participate in a number of Interschool Carnivals and enjoy learning to play Golf, Lacrosse and Ultimate Frisbee.
As well as developing skills, the program aims to develop resilience, respect, relationships and responsibility in all children as well as develop their personal and social skills. These are achieved by promoting the enjoyment of physical activity through providing interesting and motivating activities while developing the student's knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Dunsborough PS has been acknowledged as a leading school in the area of Primary PE due to the quality of its programs and strong community links.
